Abstract

Oil palm waste is a reliable resource but the fungal infection on oil palm effect the structural and physical strength of the oil palm trunk and create a lot of waste. This fungal disease infects hundreds of hectares of crops, including Malaysia, in Southeast Asia every year, damaging not just production, but tree losses as well Very well research and lab work about the properties and characteristics of oil palm really helps to understand how the fungal infection happened, what types of fungal that inhabitant the oil palm, where does the fungal attack are such things that were discussed. Properties such as the moisture content, starch content, lignin content, xylan content and specific gravity are the properties that effects the build-up of fungus on oil palm trunk. The environment, location and surroundings also effect the possibilities of fungal infection. The purpose of this study is to show does the middle part of the trunk has the same species of fungal attack with the top and the bottom part of the trunk and aim of to reduce and utilized the oil palm waste especially the trunk the research that were collected is to prove whether there are possibilities of fungal infection will be happened on the oil palm trunk middle section. Implementation it towards the oil palm industry on how to treat and cure this fungal infection is way to reduce the waste of oil palm.
