Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has transformed numerous of living features including the way people learn and implement. The institutions of higher education have adopted several distance learning methods called blended learning. This main purpose for the study conducted is to examine the influence of Facilitating Condition, Performance Expectancy and Student Readiness on the adoption of Virtual Classroom among students in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Kampus Bandaraya Melaka. This study involved students from different courses in UiTM Kampus Bandaraya Melaka which consist of Human Resources Management, International Business, Office Systems Management, Finance and Marketing with a total population of 1880 students. Data were collected through online survey questionnaires with targeted of 140 students, but the questionnaires was successfully responded by 163 students. The convenient sampling technique method were used by the researcher. Besides, the data collected has been analysed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results indicate that there is significant relationship for hypothesis 3 between Student Readiness and Student Adoption in Virtual Classroom. However, there is no relationship between hypothesis 1 (Facilitating Condition) and hypothesis 2 which is (Performance Expectancy).
