Abstract
This is an introductory level in gemology course as it is important to jewellery. This course offers a board overview of gemstone study including its visual observation, physical properties and optical properties. Students will learn about gemstones theoretically and practically throughout series of lab test sessions using basic gemology instruments including loupe, tweezers, microscope, polariscope, refractometer, dichroscope, spectroscope, chelsea color filter, fluorescence and hydrostatic weight.
