Abstract

Education has the possibility of being influenced and maximized by Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT increases the education's flexibility, enabling students to access various global educational resources. ICT is able to influence students by giving instructions and guiding them as they learn. Incorporating ICT in education enables skills collaborative development and the knowledge creating capabilities. This brings a better preparation for students, offers lifelong learning and the opportunity to join industry. In other words, ICT has the ability in improving the quality of both teaching and learning. This study's design is to recognize the efficacy in the utilization of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) in how Science is being taught and learned among Year 6 pupils of SK Kpg. Melayu, Sarawak. The study's purpose is to provide a deeper understanding on ICT as an educational tool. For the past decade, there has been a change from using science as a learning mode where students and using IT skills to use and adapt ICT as science learning tools. There has also been mounting interest in using ICT to support whole class teaching and learning of science. For this extensive purpose, the study plans to discover the teachers' attitudes on the use of ICT as a teaching and learning tool. The study is prompted by numerous worries from scholastic shareholders that teachers are not conscious of the technology's capabilities and strong point in training (Mselle, 2012). The usage of technical tools for example internet and computers is still at its moderate in Malaysia.
