Abstract

Science is a subject that demands the perseverance of the students to recall many facts, terms, scientific names, and so on. One method that is suitable and meets the latest teaching and learning should be sought so that teaching and learning activities (P d P), which is operated by Science teachers will provide optimum effect while improving student achievement. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of the i-THINK methods to enhancing the memorising skills of students year 4 in science subjects. The selected title is rusting in the fields of Nature Materials. This research is a quasi-experiment involving 72 students in year four from 4 Tun Abdullah and 4 Tun Mahathir classes in Sekolah Kebangsaan Green Road, Kuching, Sarawak. The study design was qualitative and quantitative. The instruments used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and pre-test and post-test. Data analysis showed an increase in the percentage. Based on the findings of the study showed that the i-THINK methods in teaching and learning can improve student proficiency given in Science.
