IDT207 : Vehicle styling / Faculty of Art and Design

This course emphasizes to enhance basic skills and techniques in sketching and modelling. Through this course, students will be exposed to mastering the history of transportation; the process of designing begins with analysis, synthesis and simulation, basic terms of transport, skills and variety of techniques in the design of transport design. Students also learned on basic skills and techniques to produce transport sketching, visual rendering, tape drawing and basic model making. As an outcomes, students will be able to master the techniques and skills of modelling through basic understanding of transport design terms, including the principles and elements of design, the basis of transport design which incorporate the aesthetic value of a design based on the fundamental theoretical foundations such as the terminology and basic parts of the vehicle. Classroom discussion, demonstration and studio base exercises will be a primary means of facilitating learning this course.
