IDT206 : Furniture structure and construction / Faculty of Art and Design

This course introduces students to the furniture design which emphasize more on its structure and construction. By providing a concise overview of the critical aspects such as design terminology in the context of furniture aesthetics, basic structure and construction methods, fixings, joints, fabrications, materials and finishes, skills in the generation, development and presentation of furniture design, some assistance, facilities and advice in the construction of a piece of furniture.
