Abstract

Air pollution is one of the major environmental issues. It can cause adverse health effects such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases and high mortality rates. High population density is a huge contributory factor of air pollution in cities and urbanized areas. Sources of air pollution are transport, local heating and possibly a pollution transfer from a neighboring countries such as open burning in Indonesia. Air pollutants, such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ozone, heavy metals, and respirable particulate matter, differ in their chemical composition, reaction properties, emission, time of disintegration and ability to diffuse in long or short distances. This product is to alert when air pollution in surrounding such as at home, factories and schools are polluted. It is like a human that will inform the surrounding people and person in charge when the air pollution is detected in the area via Siren and SMS. It will also trigger the alarm sounding which is loud enough for everyone in the building to hear to evacuate. It is low cost, reliable and efficient system for air pollution system. Easy to install and maintain. Furthermore not many Malaysian companies have developed this product and we are challenged to design, innovate and test this WIRELESS AIRPOLLUTION DETECTOR. This can prevent outdoor is to reduce the fire incident and to reduce the number of fatalities and losses. It is a stand alone can be used with battery and electricity. small to install in home, buildings and schools.
