Abstract
The course introduces the students to the theory and practice of fiction writing which mainly includes writing of novels, novellas and short stories. The course is designed to provide the students with different skills and techniques of storytelling which effectively transform personal emotions, experiences, thoughts and recollections into creative works that are enjoyable and accessible to a wider audience. It will also enable the students to recognize which things are significant, how to characterize them in a way that really brings them to life and how to structure them into a fictional narrative that will sustain a reader’s interest.
