FNT712 : Thematic drawing / College of Creative Arts

The purpose of the course is to introduce the new contexts of drawing as not only a preparatory exercise but also premise for investigating and establishing the conceptual framework within the studio practice. While drawing is treated as a tool and medium, it is essential to extend the context and concept to another level of understanding. In so doing, students are encouraged to dwell with their thematic inquiry through their understanding of theory, practice and application within studio art research. The course will be conducted within the studio environment where students’ idea will be discussed in a mass critique session that leads to the development of the artwork.
