Abstract
Effective project scheduling is essential for optimising manufacturing processes and meeting customer demands in the dynamic realm of basic t-shirt manufacturing. This abstract introduces the utilisation of two powerful techniques, the critical path method (CPM) and fuzzy logic, for project scheduling in basic t-shirt manufacturing. By determining the critical path, which represents the longest sequence of dependent activities, project managers can allocate resources effectively and mitigate delays, ensuring timely completion of the manufacturing process. In addition to CPM, fuzzy logic is employed to address uncertainties and imprecise information that often arise in project scheduling for basic t-shirt manufacturing. Time management is important in any industry, especially in high-demand manufacturing. Project scheduling is essential for effectively arranging time, but it can lead to waste and delays. The objectives of this study are to investigate the feasibility of using fuzzy logic and CPM techniques to effectively address and handle possible unknown problems and the duration of each activity is determined, and the critical path is calculated based on the duration and dependencies of each activity. This study determines the fastest path in basic t-shirt manufacturing through the CPM and trapezoidal fuzzy number. This study used secondary data by applying CPM and a fuzzy set. CPM is a tool for planning and managing big projects, providing increased scheduling flexibility and accuracy, greater stakeholder and project manager communication, and simpler work prioritising. This study found that CPM and fuzzy logic can be combined to address and manage potential unknown problems that may occur during practical situations through studying the compatibility and integration of these two methods. The duration of each activity involved in the manufacturing process and the critical path based on the duration and dependencies of each activity is determined. The fastest path specifically in the context of basic t-shirt manufacturing using the CPM and trapezoidal fuzzy numbers is determined. Fuzzy logic and CPM techniques effectively handle ambiguous issues in iv real-world settings, providing accurate activity duration estimates, critical paths, and faster project completion in manufacturing processes.
