Abstract

The set up of LORI MALAYSIA BERHAD began in 1972 with the operation of conventional cargo lorry transport. Throughout the period, it has expanded rapidly with the back-up from the Government and MARA until recently when its operation was affected by the economic recession. Being active in the field of lorry transport, LMB has set up branches at Butterworth, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, and its office in Petaling Jaya acts as the headquarter. Heavy Haulage is termed as the heavy shipment of cargoes using specialised vehicles and facilities. It is essential for the national development as some initial setting in industry and development areas require heavy equipment.
