Abstract
This study examines the capital structure determinants of 8 Commercial Banks in Malaysia. A Generalized Least Square (GLS) panel data analysis is to be employed in the study using the data of 8 Commercial Bank in Malaysia which was listed in Bursa Malaysia Main Board for the period of 2001 to 2010. The empirical result reveals that the total debt ratio is influence by the asset structure of the firm, profitability, growth and size of the firms. The result shows that asset structure, profitability and size of the firm are significant determinant of bank’s capital structure. On the other hand, the researcher do not suggest any significant of growth contribute towards the bank’s capital structure.
