Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of dividend payout ratio with the Islamic Banks in Malaysia firm’s performance which include of firm size, earnings per share (EPS), return on asset (ROA) and also Leverage which is debt to equity ratio of listed companies in Bursa Malaysia during 2009-2018 period. This seems to demonstrate how the performance of the firms will influence to the dividend payment. The method used in this research is pooled regression analysis. The point of view intended to help the firms to look after their performance that related to the matter. The idea is to show what is the best variables that can be used to measure the dividend payout ratio (DPR). The result of this research shows that earnings per share have positive relationship with the dividend payout ratio. As expected, the result also indicates a significantly positive relationship between return on asset and dividend payout ratio. Lastly, the result also reveals an significantly negative relationship between debt to equity ratio with dividend payout ratio.
