Abstract

The subject provides a broad outline within which the law of property as well as associated legislation such as Occupational Safety and Health act 1994 operates, together with its application to the Malaysian construction industry in general and building surveying in particular. It provides a basic understanding of the historical development of the law of property in Malaysian, principles of the Malaysian Torrens System, features of the National Land Code 1965, property in the land, disposal of land, classification and use of land, dealings in land, registration of dealings,
restraints on dealings, co-proprietorship, contracts for the sale of land, land acquisition, Malay reservation and Muslim law and distribution of property.
