Abstract

A hanging chair is a type of sitting furniture that is suspended from above and allows it to swing or sway gently. It is also referred to as a rocking chair. Typically, these chairs consist of woven, or fabric seats tied to a support structure or suspended by ropes, chains or hooks from the ceiling, beams or tree limbs. The Hanging Chair I produced is located in a Malaysian public space and is inspired by the pitcher plant. This chair also aims to create awareness and appreciation for nature and pitcher plants in the community. All things considered, hanging chairs are adaptable, comfortable and stylish seating solutions that provide a special and enjoyable way to relax in public areas.
