Abstract
This report is briefly describing about building plan approval process before all the construction work begun to build any building, like house renovation, awning installation, and any buildings to be built in the district. It is critical to comprehend the building plan process in order to determine if the construction complies with building laws. As a result, the number of construction failures can be reduced. Despite the strengthening of the mechanism delivery system of the process known as One Stop Centre (OSC), nothing is known about the efficiency of the building plan process in the local authority. The purpose of the study was to see how successful the Tangkak District Council's (MDT) construction plan approval procedure. The majority of respondents said that the ineffectiveness of the building plan approval process was caused by inadequate papers submitted to the OSC, a lack of expertise among the Principal Submitting Person (PSP), and staff inexperience with development applications. The findings provide a summary of the findings for town planners, architects, developers, and government agencies to better understand how a successful and efficient building plan process may justify the performance of the Malaysian property development industry.
