COM570: Quantitative data analysis in communication research / Faculty of Communication and Media Studies

This course is designed to introduce students to various statistical method in data analysis. Hence, students will learn about descriptive and inferential statistics and how to use these statistical procedures to answer the research questions or to test the hypotheses. Throughout the course students will study the integrated concepts and ideas of statistics and its application in research and decision making, in various communication disciplines. Students will learn how to key-in data in the SPSS template from questionnaires set, process, analyse, and interpret the data and finally report the findings.
