Abstract
his course is designed for undergraduates who intend to equip themselves with a basic knowledge of spoken and written Korean. It is the first of a three parts programme for introductory Korean course, and the syllabus ranges from learning writing Hangeul, the Korean character, basic language structures to cultural aspects embedded in the language. It helps to equip the students with basic communicative competence within the introductory level 1 capacity. This course also introduces how to type Hangeul using computer, and accessing online resources for further self-learning purposes
