Abstract
Approaches to involve the public in biodiversity conservation and management are changing rapidly as biodiversity resource managers attempt to pursue management objectives within an increasingly turbulent social and political environment. Managers face crisis of control as biodiversity policy and management plan disputes are increasingly resolves by the government, parliament or in the courts. This course will explore the potential and importance of community and organizations in biodiversity conservation and management. Methods to involve the importance of public participation in their planning and management. This process is a bridge between community and organizations to resolve conflict.
