Abstract

This course is designed to provide students with the understanding and skills necessary to be a resource interpreter. This will be accomplished by exposing students to the principles and techniques of interpreting natural, cultural and historical resources to diverse audiences. It also provides students with the skills and knowledge in designing the environmental interpretation plan through a series of interpretation themes and media development. Applying these skills and knowledge is critical in ensuring that park resources are protected and visitors have opportunities for experiences which strengthen their connection to the resource.
