Venture GES Manufacturing Services (M) Sdn Bhd / Nur Syafiqah Mohd Subhe

This report aims to provide my perspective on my 24-week internship (6 months) and evaluate my understanding of the human resource industry. Throughout the internship, I conducted a SWOT analysis on Venture GES Manufacturing Services (M) Sdn. Bhd., the company where I underwent training, to assess its overall performance internally and externally. The report is structured into various sections, starting with the company's background and the services it offers. I was assigned to the Employee Relation unit within the Human Resources department, and I take this opportunity to reflect on my training experience and responsibilities. During my 24 weeks at Venture, I gained valuable intrinsic benefits, including improved communication skills, increased self-confidence, and valuable work experience. Additionally, I also experienced extrinsic benefits through the company's industrial training program. Furthermore, I conducted a SWOT analysis specifically focusing on the Employee Relation unit. I identified Venture's strengths as having a strong employer branding, effective employee listening, and a commitment to protecting employees' rights. On the other hand, I found weaknesses such as a slowdown in production, limited employee involvement in decision-making, and inadequate systems and technology. Moreover, I noticed opportunities for Venture in the form of evolving HR policies, implementing low power distance, and maintaining a low turnover rate. However, the company also faced certain threats, including economic inflation and strong competition in the industry. Based on my observations during the internship, I provide recommendations in the report to address weaknesses, capitalize on opportunities, and leverage the company's strengths effectively. In conclusion, this report presents a comprehensive overview of my internship experience at Venture, along with the findings from the SWOT analysis conducted on the Employee Relation unit. It also includes valuable recommendations that I derived from my time at the company, aiming to contribute to its further growth and success.
