OSK Holdings Berhad / Nur Izatti Nadzim Ahmad

Undergoing six-month industrial training at OSK Holding Berhad, Kuala Lumpur is such a memorable and challenging experience especially for someone who is new and has no exposure to corporate scenarios. This internship report will comprise the summary of my 24 weeks being an intern specifically at OSK Holdings Berhad. Starting my first day as OSK Holdings Berhad's intern on 1st March 2023, I have been reporting to my attending company's supervisor, Mr. Leow Wei Han positioned as Assistant Manager. He guides me on how to accomplish each task given and also comments positively on how I should improve based on the outcome of every task submitted for approval. Unfortunately, on 7th July 2023, Mr. Leow Wei Han resigned hence I need to report all tasks and duty as an intern to Nicole Wong Yin Leng, the Senior Manager on duty. As someone who soon to experience being a corporate employee and working in the industry, this industrial training programme in my 6th semester is such an important starting point to begin the real journey. This report contains on how I have developed. from someone who has been exposed theoretically on how the financial industry works, to someone who experienced the real situation on how things work such as the process of invoicing, payment and also how the department communicates to ensure issues are resolved effectively. As an intern at OSK Holdings Berhad, I am responsible for account payables (AP), whereby I need to ensure all payments are made before the due date. Payments include utilities, Chairman's monthly credit card spending, rental and more. Thus, I have also assisted in managing daily cash flow, bank reconciliation and involvement in the monthly closing of OSK Holdings Berhad and OSK Factoring Sdn Bhd. Thus, the outcome of 24 weeks being an intern at the company, I have included a SWOT analysis in this report which also includes discussions based on the company's performance and recommendations on how OSK Holdings Berhad can improvise for future development.
