Abstract

‘No man is an island’ reflects the fact that humansare social beings who can’t live alone for the rest oftheir lives. Thus, we need to have relationships withothers. The success of these relationshipsdetermines our own happiness. One of the mostimportant relationships is the one that weexperience with our partner. Expectations play a pivotal role in shaping ourrelationships, influencing how we perceive, interact, and connect with our partners. While healthyexpectations can contribute to relationship growth, unrealistic or uncommunicated expectations maylead to misunderstandings and strain. in Relationships. Setting realistic expectations is the third key to maintaining a healthy relationship. Unrealistic expectations, such as expecting a partner to fulfil all emotional needs or never make mistakes, can lead to disappointment. Accepting that imperfections are part of the human experience can contribute to a more resilient and satisfying relationship
