Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Energy Prices and Food Import to the Malaysia food price. The study used Multiple Linear Regression in order to find the relationship among those variables. The quarterly data of all variable is collected from 1st Quarter 2010 until 4th Quarter 2017. From the result, it reveals that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Energy Price have a significant positive relationship towards Malaysia Food Price. The result indicate that Food Import are negatively towards Malaysia Food Price. But, Food Import is not significant toward Malaysia Food Price. These results further our understanding of the relationship between the Malaysia Food Price and should be useful for policy maker, government, public and future researcher.
