Abstract
This course provides fundamental understanding of the aesthetic values in art from three selected Asian countries – Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. Class lectures will adopt thematic approach in discussing topics or materials rather than the chronological linear approach that is normally practiced. Such an approach is pivotal and crucial in studying the evolution of contemporary art in these respective countries.
