Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect saving deposit in Bank Islam in Malaysia. The variables that being used in this study are inflation rate (INF), rate of return (ROR) and gross domestic product (GDP) as independent variables while saving deposit (SD) as dependent variable. This study used unit root test, descriptive statistic, multiple linear regression and diagnostic test in order to test the hypothesis. The data is collected from 1st quarter 2005 until 4th quarter 2016. Inflation rate show negative significant while rate of return show positive significant towards saving deposit in Bank Islam. It means that all these variables are the factors that contribute to saving deposit in Bank Islam in Malaysia. This study is important since it will give knowledge towards the depositors in order to make the decision on saving and investment since banking sector is one of the sources of income to the economy in Malaysia.
