Factors influence studying at rural areas and students academic performance / Normalina Deraman

Many institution and facilities had undergone some drastic change to increase the education level among citizens. The students need to adapt themselves to the culture and condition in the rural area community college. Some barriers and obstacles that the urban student will face at rural area community college are lack of public transportation, dealing with racism on and off campus and they also need to know about students from the local rural area. Some of the institutions are facing with the problem of internet and technology. Several studies have examined the academic performance and experiences of community educational institutional in rural area when compared to urban educational institutional. This research gives contribution to the organization which is the educational institution itself, the students and the researcher. Other than that, this research also is to identify the relationship between the factors that influence studying at rural area toward student's academic performance. Some people give assumption that rural area is not develop well and give least contribution to people especially students at the area. This research will investigate the factors that influence studying at rural area towards student's academic performance.
