Abstract

Executive Summary The college of Business Administration at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has included the topic Industrial Training (MGT666) in its course structure, which will provide students with pre-professional job experience. The topic requires students to complete industrial training at a designated organization over a six-month period. Students are encouraged to contribute to the organization during industrial training by participating in activities and carrying out the obligations assigned to them professionally. Industrial training is important because it allows students to demonstrate their abilities and prepare for the actual world of work. This is an internship report based on my six-month internship program at PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (PRPC), Pengerang, Johore, under the Department of Strategy, Business and Commercial Division Contract Management CFS from March 1st, 2023 to August 15th, 2023 as part of my BBA program. As someone who is absolutely new to the practical and business worlds, every hour spent at PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn. Bhd. provided me with valuable experience. Nonetheless, they were all beneficial to my eventual career. Furthermore, the discussion regarding the investigation and the identified issue that the organization and department has been facing is included in this industrial training report. As a trainee and Finance student, I figured out the problem in the company and department involving invoicing and tenants. The problem is when Contract Management CFS issues an invoice. In this example, the issue arises because the contract-by-contract Development did not include precise conditions in the contract, resulting in the tenant taking advantage of Contract Management by refusing to pay the invoice and the firm incurring losses. To summarize, the conclusion of the SWOT Analysis component helps the reader understand why the analysis is essential by examining positive and negative elements within and outside the firm. The company's analysis has been completed effectively based on observations and secondary data. The inquiry has focused on SWOT and PESTLE analyses. SWOT Tools have been used to identify your company's or a specific project's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and PESTLE Tools have also been used as a framework for examining the external elements that affect a firm. Finally, this paper includes a discussion and recommendations that companies may use to improve their services.
