Industrialised building system (IBS): interlocking solid panel / Nor Wardina Yaakob

Industrialized Building System or known as a prefabricated system that used special techniques of construction that can supervise the environment. It is one of the facilities of modern system that used interconnected or interlocking element as their concept and designation of the building. The application of the IBS among company in Malaysia increasing form year to year as it can maximize the production output, minimizing the labor resource and can improve the quality of the building. there are six types of IBS used in Malaysia, but the most widely apply is Interlocking Solid Panel and lightweight brick which is cheaper that the others and easily available in market. Generally, the materials and equipment used also different from anther basic method which a various accessory is needed for the installation also including the process of the installation of solid panel that need a few guidelines before the installation as it can affect the work and management at the site. With the usage of the IBS system, maximum days for the complete installation of solid panel is one week. It proves that IBS is one of the modern and advanced technology that gives benefits to the construction either in site or off the site.
