Abstract
This course is a basic introduction to the analysis of English Grammar. The course focuses on creating awareness of grammar as a system that puts words into meaningful units. Adopting a functional approach to the teaching of English Grammar, the course equips students with the grammatical tools needed to analyse English sentences and gradually discover for themselves how meanings are built through the choice of words, structures and other grammatical resources.
