EAD660 : Introduction to museum studies / College of Creative Arts

This course provides an in-depth introduction to the history, theory and practice of museums. The course explores the function of museums in various terms: organization, operation and administration. Topics will include the history of museums, museum ethics, museum mission statements, collections management, exhibition design and visitors' engagement and development and learning in museums. This course will expose students on practical exercises, research, write and present on a variety of subjects central to the successful administration of museums in general.
