Abstract

Fan is one of the significant engineering applications that has contributed to mankind in many ways. For example, oscillating fans are widely used in our life to aid air circulation throughout the surrounding area. However, a standard standing fan moves back and forth and only throws air in a limited front area due to its oscillating mechanism. To solve this problem, the project creates a standing fan that can rotate 360 degrees horizontally. The purpose of this product is to offer a fan that provides comfort in everyday life by ensuring the air from the fan can be supplied in all directions. In order to fabricate this product, we used methods such as computational analysis and the fabrication process which consists of cutting, drilling, and grinding process. As a result, this product successfully rotates 360 degrees horizontally thus can be placed in the centre of the area in order to deliver the air to the fullest potential. However, it is undeniable that there are limitations to this product such as cannot adjust the height. Despite the limitations, the objectives of the project are successfully achieved, hence the 360-degree standing fan can produce cool and breeze air throughout the surrounding in all directions
