Abstract
In this course students will learn on how to paint pictures by using oil paint. The students will be exposed to the basic principles of using tools, materials and techniques in oil painting. Several exercises will be given to students in class to develop their skill, knowledge and appreciation towards the subject. All the exercises will be conducted hands-on and in the form of a problem based approach. The students will also be guided in conducting their visual research, and preparing a portfolio of artworks. Students final project will be based on a particular theme to emphasize light and form. Guidance and assessment will be conducted continuously throughout the semester.
