CTW433 : Great literature / College of Creative Arts

The course aims primarily to introduce and expose the students to great literatures by focusing on selected literary texts. Students are required to critically read the chosen texts, analyze and examine strategies that the writers use in their creative works to create specific themes and plots, ideas and contexts. They must practice close reading of the literary texts in order to explore the aesthetics of literary writing and develop critical thinking skills. Using a student-centered learning approach, the course will focus on the students’ responses to the literary texts that they read.
