CTW244 : Great literature / College of Creative Arts

The course aims primarily to introduce students to great literatures. The purpose of the course is to expose students to be familiar with great literatures by focusing on selected texts. Students are required to deeply read the chosen texts, analyze and investigate strategies that writers use in their fictional works to create unique contexts, ideas and contents. They must relate their close reading of the literary texts to the aesthetics of the writers and develop critical thinking. Using a student-centered learning approach, the course will focus on the students’ responses to one literary text they read.
