Industrial training report: Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor / Mohamad Arif Mohd Khodzori

Generally, industrial training defines as a placement of students in an organization related with their courses in order to conduct supervised practical training in the certain industry sector within the time given before the student been qualified as a bachelor’s degree. Industrial training is crucial in order to expose students to real work environments and at the same time students can acquired more knowledge during industrial training. Moreover, a new skill in work integrity, time management, communication and other useful skills can be developed by students during industrial training and most of the time, the knowledge that students learn in faculty can be different from what they will face during work. This report being created in order to fulfill the requirement of the whole Industrial Training subject IMC690 for final year students Faculty of Information Management in Bachelor of Science Information (Hons.) Library Management. Mainly purpose of the whole report being created is to explain the detail about overall tasks and lesson being acquired within these five months training at Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS). Generally, this report writing begins with the introduction and background about PPAS. Then, continued with the next chapter which is organizational chart whereby it is crucial to know more about the existence of department and their roles. Moreover, third chapter will cover about overall activities being made during internship programmed and this chapter will include about the special project being handle during Industrial Training. Last but not least, final chapter is about the reflection especially on trainee’s application of personal thoughts, lesson learnt, and overall knowledge being acquired by trainee during industrial training. Other than that, the limitation of organization will be identified, and some recommendation will be given in order to suggest improving management.
