Abstract
The course teaches a systematic approach to reading and analyzing a script mainly for film: short or feature length. Students will be initially exposed to the fundamentals of screenwriting. Students are required to watch identified films (short film, feature film or TV feature) and read their scripts, looking at larger issues of structure, character, suspense, pacing, and conflict, as well as smaller issues (pacing within scenes, tension within scenes, economy of dialogue).
