CTS132 : Sound and image / College of Creative Arts

The course exposes students to the role of sound and image in film and television. The course will also consider the role of sound and image in our contemporary visual culture, which entails advertising, documentaries, animation, music videos and experimental media. Students will be engaged with a casual, interdisciplinary exploration of interactions between auditory and visual content as a means by which creativity is explored and enhanced. The course will stress the role of sound and image as the fundamentals of storytelling devices, as students will interact with the collaborative relationship of sight and sound in the creation of screen or cinematic content.
