An investigation on library books collection usage among islamic banking students in UiTM Kedah / Nurul Hidayah Idris

This study is about an investigation on Library book collections usage among Islamic Banking students in UiTM Kedah. Purpose of this study is to know whether the library ls effective or not in fulfill the student's needs and book collections usage patterns in meeting user needs. Theoretical framework in this study consists of one dependent variable which is library collections and three independent vanables which is usage level, user satisfaction and user perception. The method used in this research is a descnptive approach. This study is focused on the usage of prEfeented collections by undergraduate students in getting their information needs. Data was collected from the students by distributed a questionnaire convenlenUy among 44 sample of Islamic Banking students. Data were analyzed with the help of SPSS software. The findings of the study reveal that majority of respondents satisfied with library books collect.Ion in the PSB. Then, respondents also give good perception on the library books collection. However, there also have a respondents not satisfied with the number of books collection and availability of books collection in the PSB The library should add their collection to facilitate user in acquire their information needs. The greatest numbers of books collection give library user many choices in get the information.
