Abstract

This paper describes the Capstone Design Project also known as IDP (Integrated Design Project) course at Faculty of Electrical Engineering in UiTM Shah Alam for the theme of Education 5.0. The module from KIT has been adopted to equip students with relevant skillsets. A case study of Education 5.0 theme was selected to demonstrate the workflow of the ideation skill involved. The process of the ideation skill was chosen due to assist students for the design thinking flow before they propose any solutions. This paper also illustrates steps involved in the process of ideation such as identifying the issues related to Education 5.0, investigation of the existing issue, solutions, why the issue has not been solved and the conditions for execution. The tasks were performed individually by the students in a team collaborative environment.
