CID450 : Industrial ceramic production / College of Creative Arts

This course concentrates on the basic stages of industrial ceramic production process. It will consist the whole phase of workshop process from modelling till the stage of firing. Students will be guided to understand and practice the standard procedure of industrial ceramic production process from designing to fabricating stage. It will include preparation of raw material use for slip casting and mixing procedure. The project will expose student to the proper technique of casting, cut and assemble parts, troubleshoot and finishing. Through this experience, it will guide student to decide the best type of mould depending on technique of casting and the technical part of design.
