Abstract
This piece of art explains the process of creating patterns and colours using natural dyes. Local fruits including mangosteen, dragon fruit, butterfly pea, and catappa leaves are the source for producing natural dyes. As a designer, I use my imagination to process the design while drawing inspiration from local batik design compositions as reference and using motifs from five subject matters I have chosen. My artworks are 100 percent naturally produced using localresources, and my unique designs are created to suit the local Malay market.
