The butterfly pea, also known locally as bunga telang, is a plant native to Asia that is known for its bright blue flowers. It’s rich in antioxidants and often used as natural dye. I made the bold decision to experiment with the butterfly pea flower as motifs for my textile designs which is specifically designed for a women casual collection. I also incorporate other artistic elements such as geometric shapes and abstract designs based on the bunga telang plant. Featuring colours such as blue, purple and turquoise, I believe my cool toned artwork will attract the attention of woman of all ages.
