Abstract

This course introduces students to the world of made-in-Malaysian wood products trade. From the humblest of beginnings during the last century when logs from the forests were pit-sawn manually to produce planks and boards, the Malaysian wood based industry has undergone tremendous development and evolution to become a vibrant multi-billion dollar industry and a well-known global leader in the production and trading of wood products.
