ADE461 : Basic hand embroidery / Collage of Creative Arts

This course focuses on the hand embroidery techniques the art of creating decorative effects on the surface of a fabric using designs and stitches made with the help of needle and thread. It can be beautifully described as a painting and art work with needle and thread. Other work is hand beading techniques as a natural affinity between beads and textile techniques. Students are introduced to hand embroidery technique through basic surface design methods. The course provides students the understanding the elements and principals of embroidery design and techniques. This course teaches students to adapt to a more broad based experimental embroidery style, suitable for application to fashion and accessories.
