Abstract
In this course students will be introduced to the techniques and principles of teaching Reading. The reading materials for this course are divided into 4 major categories; (1) Reading – An Introduction to the Reading Process, (2) The Reader, (3) The Reading Teacher – Methodology and (4) Reading Assessment. Discussions will also be conducted on reading materials as well as how to evaluate tests. At the end of the course, students are to engage in microteaching. It is through this, the students are expected to apply the theoretical aspects learnt.
