EDU527 : Classroom management / Faculty of Education

This course aims to help students develop the skills necessary for teaching their major disciplines and will underpin the School Experience programme. It addresses current concerns about student motivation and helps prospective and beginning teachers develop a philosophy of classroom management that focuses on building connections with students and creating safe, caring classrooms. Students are introduced to the organization of learning within the classroom and how real teachers can adapt to any circumstance—physical room constraints, curriculum requirements, challenging behaviors—and still be successful.
