Automatic satay grilling apparatus / Abdul Rahim Md Tahir and Norman Kusin

Satay grilling process over charcoal fire involves skill and patience to prevent uneven grilling. Moreover, due to excessive smoke emitted from grilling process, this is not suitable for indoor food service outlets such as food court, hotels and restaurants. Also, the worker is exposed to heat and excessive smoke for a long period of time. The present invention relates in general to an automatic satay grilling apparatus for grilling foodstuffs such as satay or skewered foodstuffs. The automatic satay grilling apparatus comprises a continuous conveyor mounted adjacent to a heating means wherein a plurality of attachment devices attached along the conveyor. Each attachment device is used for holding a satay skewer during grilling process, while being conveyed by the conveyor with a specified speed.
