ADE565 - Art and Civilization / Faculty of Education

This course examines major artistic manifestations prompted by religious beliefs and faith. Emphasize the visual art in the context of historical, philosophical and eschatological explanations. Students will study and explore a variety of art forms, styles, and their relationship to spirituality, and faith as inspiration for artists’ artworks and that of their own. Through a series of lectures, workshops, and individual research projects, students will gain skills and understanding of the theoretical, per formative and evaluative knowing of art practices and art criticism.
